Nolan Gregory
NS 60E Ceylon, OH
A well timed sucker hole opens up as loaded sand train No. 60E storms through the intermediates at CD 228 in the small community of Ceylon, Ohio with the Leigh Valley Heritage unit up front, looking sharp in the morning sun. This was the first of two NS Heritage units that would run east on the former NYC Waterlevel Route on this day as the Penn Central unit was following not far behind this train leading a 66Z. On a side note, these signals are some of the only ones on this part of the former NYC that are completely untainted with no signs of replacements anywhere nearby, which makes me think that they will just be removed, but not replaced, in order for a larger block to be formed.
