On the road to Charyn Canyon

The road to Charyn Canyon, a three hour ride out of Almaty, crosses parts of the central Asian steppe, where herds of horses may be seen grazing in some places. The scene probably did not change much since the days of Genghis Khan, as he led his horseman across the steppes towards Europe and the Middle East.
