Florence Wolcott Jaquith (Cowles)
1887-1932. She was the daughter of Harry Jaquith (who may be seen in some of these pictures), and was married to (and subsequently divorced) Edward Spencer Cowles, a doctor and something of a rake, who was apparently involved in numerous pre-WWI scandals, including: sexual harassment, scandalous photographs of women, mental patients, "violent flirtations" with some of the more attractive mental patients, and women's laundry. Also, inappropriate touching, a court-martial, and a brawl between two gents in a ballroom.
