Sparing spikes

I faintly heard water splashing outdoors and went out to see what I was hearing. The rut wasn't far off and this was an evening of fun and engagements between all the deer that had gathered in the meadow and I was so blessed to be there to witness and photograph their interactions. Doe's were playing with spikes and some of the fawns got in on the games with the adults. These two spikes liked sparing in the water and this is one of my favorite moments from the evening.
