Forest bandit aka raccoon

I saw this one long before it noticed me which made me wonder how good their eyesight is. I set up and photographed it as it came up the trail the wet paws indicated it was foraging for food along the canal as it made its way to wherever it was going to. Once it saw me we had eye contact after a brief moment it decided I wasn't a threat and slowly passed by me trying to look invisible and getting on with business
