A beautiful and atmospheric evocation of life and nature, ‘fade’ was an immersive sound experience suspending a single performer in a luxurious fade.
A sensual, music-light-performance experience, combining eerie illumination and a lush score, ‘fade’ set a lone musician in a flickering room.
In a poetic realm of exquisitely etched shadows and high fidelity sound, audiences were invited into the heart of a magical space with dream-like spectres all around. In the midst of this revolving world, one musician performed live, her solo voice set against an extraordinary electroacoustic backdrop. Recorder virtuoso Genevieve Lacey collaborated with a stellar team of sound artists, designers bluebottle and sound designer Jim Atkins to create and present ‘fade’. This is my artistic interpretation of ‘fade'.
