Ribbons of Rememberance

A memorial to mark the 10th anniversary of the terror attacks. The historic Episcopal church stood strong while office towers crumbled around it on September 11, 2001. During the attacks, as the 1st Tower collapsed, people took refuge from the massive debris cloud inside the church..

 

Called Ribbons of Remembrance, the display echoes the makeshift memorial that formed on the St. Paul's fence in the weeks following 9/11, as mourners and visitors left behind hundreds of photos, stuffed animals, flags and hand-scrawled notes.
