The Winner and the Loser
A records shot really........A look over the railings, and something I didn't expect to see while wailting for Pendos and Voyagers crossing Lower Walsall Street, Wolverampton.
High above on the Stour Valley Line, a fleeting glimpse of a Wolves bound Pendolino (upper centre left) as it looks over to the twin portals of the tunnel that lead the GWR lines (the Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Dudley Railway & the OWW) from Birmingham and Stourbridge into the Wolverhampton Low Level. I believe there was a bridge over the railway at this point, long since filled in.
I often wonder what would have happened to the railways of the Black Country if regional boundries had not changed.
