Tuxedo

Dressed for the occasion, a male kolea in breeding plumage is often referred to as wearing a tuxedo due to the black and white coloration on the neck and chest. This migratory Pacific golden plover (Pluvialis fulva) spent the winter in Hawaii fattening up for a four day, 3,000 mile, non-stop journey across the north Pacific to Alaskan breeding grounds.
