The Human Chameleon

Understanding my subject is important to my photography as my photographs aim to express who they are. Without an understanding of the person I cannot create an image that truly captures the person and their story. In this photograph I purposefully made my subject partially transparent, and off to the far side. I did not want her to be noticeable directly at first sight as it would defeat the purpose of the photograph. I want people to look at it and have curiosity and wonder, making them want to read the caption and look further into the photo.
