The Five Rathas are monolithic structures in Mahabalipuram also known as Mamallapuram, located south of Chennai in the Coromandal Coast. Though they are called Panchpandavar Rathas they have nothing to do with Mahabharatha.

Chennai,India The Five rathas were built around 668 AD by Pallava King Mahendravarman&his successor son Narasimmavarman.UNESCO classified the monuments as World Heritage site in the year 1984.
