Earthy geometry of a perfect sunset shot. Thank you for many likes for the sunset shot under Carquinez Bridge. Actually, it was done and accomplished upon pure mathematical calculations rather than an artistic inspiration. A few days ago I estimated position of the sun at the location with LunaSolCal Mobile app. Then using Google map I found the spot that precisely aligned with the bridge and the sun (three points on the map should be on the same line). Then I drove there at appropriate time, parked in a neighborhood, found the way to the shore (with Google map assistance), was attacked by dogs (owner stopped them when I was ready to give up), slipped in a mud, took a few shots, and drove back to home. That's all that's it. The Sun is located differently on any other day for this particular place, so the next chance to get the same sunset is in six months. I checked and proved the concept of scientific approach to model and design photo sessions for places where you never have been before. It worked.
