Over the weekend of July 7 and 8, 2007 a special excursion operated over Norfolk Southern's former Pennsylvania Railroad route accross the Allegheny Mountains. The train left Harrisburg, PA for Altoona on Saturday morning and, after arrival in Altoona, PA, made short excursion trips to Gallitzin, PA. At the end of the day the train ran one way to Pittsburgh, PA where it spent the night. It is shown here returning from Pittsburgh on the morning of July 8 for more short trips to Gallitzin before its return to Harrisburg. The locomotives and first three cars are owned by Bennett Levin. The rest of the train was made up of SEPTA commuter cars with another private car on the rear.
