Kafka's Grave

Plus his little Charlie Brown Christmas Tree.

Franz Kafka and his parents were buried here. His sisters perished in the Holocaust, so their memorial is just the symbolic plaque leaning up at the foot of the grave.

His grave used to be all covered in grass, but people would take stones from everywhere (the path, other graves, etc) to leave them on his tombstone. They put out buckets of stones nearby for people to use, but that just looked ugly. So they came up with this, turning the grave into a great big square of stones. Some people wedge notes in there, and there were a lot of small international coins among the rocks, only a few were czech.
