Leather Tor
Yesterday I made a very quick trip up to Dartmoor before work. I saw on Facebook that two of the Royal Navy Sea King helicopters were doing a flypast over Devon and Cornwall as part of their retirement celebrations. They were due to fly over Burrator Reservoir just before 1pm so I drove up and walked over to Leather Tor which turned out to be the perfect spot to see them.
The sky was very stormy and moody yesterday although there were a few pockets of light hitting the landscape. So, while I was waiting for the helicopters to arrive I took a few shots of the area and I managed to catch a lovely bit of light hitting the woodland down the hill from the tor.
I was so wrapped up in looking for new compositions while I was there that I nearly missed the helicopters, as they arrived 20 minutes early!! I had to quickly rush and get my zoom lens on and only ended up with a couple of photos of them, but it was still nice to see them fly by.

As much as I appreciated comments and feedback I would request no Awards or flashy gif comments, please. They will be deleted. Thank you.
