Metallica

"Metallica"

I'm going to be sharing a few more shots from London for the rest of this week, I don't really have many landscape photos to post, so I'm changing things up a bit.

As some of you know I love my architecture photography, unfortunately where I live we don't have that many spectacular buildings, we have a lot of historical ones but I've photographed them to death and they don't really excite me as much as they used to.

For me, London is the best city in the UK for architecture, it has a crazy mix of new futuristic glass and metal towers and the gorgeous stone of buildings built way before my time, Everywhere you go there's something new to shoot.

Starting off with something a little bit abstract, this is another shot of one of the gorgeous spiral staircases at Damien Hirst's Newport Street Gallery in Lambeth. This was taken at the bottom of the staircase with my camera pointed straight up. I've given it a slightly cooler white balance to give it a nice metallic colour.
