London Blues

My second shot from the Sky Garden in London. This is looking West with St Paul's Cathedral standing out amongst the rest of the city.

 

There was a fair bit of low cloud just above us which caused quite a hazy look over to the horizon. Due to this, the sunset shot I was after didn't happen, but I did get this blue hour shot of the city.

 

There were several challenges getting this shot, first, no tripods are allowed in the Skygarden so trying to balance my camera so it stayed still enough for the length of exposure I need was fun. I rested it on a ledge next to the stairs using my fleece jacket and phone to hold it in position. Second, was reflections from the window, luckily it was fairly dark and I managed to get my lens as close to the window as possible eliminating the reflections.

 

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, and I have another landscape view to post at a later date as well.
