Bird's milk cake

This Russian cake is called the ptichye moloko, literally bird's milk. The bird's milk is a custard made of meringue beaten with a condensed milk buttercream and set with gelatin. It's good, but I'd still prefer Swiss buttercream. The recipe is from olgainthekitchen.com. You really have to work quickly with the bird's milk and pour it over the cake before it sets.
