Caprese cake

This cake was invented in a bakery on the Italian island of Capri, around the 1920's. It's a flourless creation, with a dense rich texture, almost like a brownie. It looks plain but is delicious. It's now one of my favorites. A good recipe is at homecookingadventure.com.
