Zuccotto cake

Using a homemade pound cake, cut into equilaterial triangles and lined in bowl.

 

This one is filled with macadamia nuts and chocolate, for a semifreddo-like texture. The inside is brushed with liquor and the outside dusted with cocoa powder with flecks of gold sprinkles. The recipe is in Lauren Chattman's book, "Icebox Cakes."
