The Nine Races of Galacia
The original nine races of Galacia, brought forth onto the continent by the Seven Divines.
From left to right:
Nords: The strong and fiercely independent men and women of the north. Nord are distinguished by their bravery in battle and their taller stature.
Dwarfs: The Dwarves are an industrious and private race of genius inventors and tinkerers. They have made their home in the granite caverns of the Gelder Peaks where they mine precious metals for their inventions.
Drow: Known as the Dark Elves, the Drow are a solitary race, found only on the island nation of Lune. They are known for their deep connection with nature and their mastery of magic. Drow, being the distant relatives of the Elves, live long lives that make them nearly immortal.
Humans: The most widely spread race. The humans are quickly becoming one of the dominant races of Galacia due to their adaptability. Humans live in nearly every corner of the continent and have mastered all manner of trade.
Elves: The Elves are known for their strict hierarchy, longevity, and a fierce mistrust of the other races. They have become strictly isolationist in recent history. The elves love of nature make them excellent archers and rangers.
Nereid: A naive race of nearly immortal fairy-like creatures, the beautiful and graceful Nereid bounce through life with a playful exuberance and unquenchable curiosity.
Goblins: Ornery tricksters, the Goblins dwell in the depths where they continually clash with the Dwarves. Goblins love to horde all manner of trinkets, and go to any length to protect their treasure troves.
Orcs: A war loving race of near savage beasts. The bloodthirsty Orcs have made the barren lands of the Vastari Desert their home. They have continually gone to war with their Human, Dwarf, and Elf neighbors. The Orcs savagely oppress their Troll and Goblin cousins for the benefit of their ever growing military machine.
Trolls: Nearly brainless, the humongous brutish race of Trolls live only to smash the smaller races. They live a nomadic lifestyle with barely any form of social organization.
