2008 Beijing

In September, one of my students and I, received a free trip to Beijing from UNESCO and Daimler Benz for participating in their MONDIALOGO School Contest. Out of over 2600 teams, our Japan/Uganda team was chosen as one of the top 25, for our proposal to build a culture center in Kabale, Uganda. For 4 days, we were treated like Olympic medalists and able to have a great time with the other participants from 47 different countries. Best of all was being able to hang out in China with our Ugandan partners.
