Here comes Kuroko-chan, dressed in Jirai Kei fashion. Jirai Kei fashion style has won attention among anime fans with popular characters dressing in this style, like DECO*27’s Vampire Miku or Ame-chan from the game Needy Girl Overdose (Needy Streamer Overload in Steam).
If you have been following my most recent posts, you will notice that Lego dolls and printed faces are a thing I have been increasingly invested in since the release of 76780 Wednesday Addams’ Figure.
So, when Lego released the Lucky & Penny 101 Dalmatians Puppies, the part with the printed eyes (part 7547pb01) immediately caught my interest.
Facemasks are not an integral part of the Jirai Kei style, but in eastern countries like Japan it is not strange to see them turned into a fashion complement. It is not too hard to find Japanese social media posters wearing them. It can be for cosmetic purposes, preserve anonymity or just provide an aura of mystery.
The actual (and more prosaic) reason to make her wear one is to hide the fact that I could not provide her with a acceptable mouth, although I believe that decorated slope 37352pb005 could do the job.
Maybe our girl is too shy to show her vampire fangs 😊
