January Ice 1
After a green Christmas and only a couple of days into an early January cold snap I didn't expect that much more than a thin crust of ice clinging to the Lake Erie shore. Instead I found ice hills taller than me extending 100 metres or so out from the usual shore line. I managed to follow the old concrete pier to get out far enough to include the slushy water in the composition, otherwise heading out onto the ice seemed too dangerous.
