Masca
Masca es un pequeño nucleo de población ( 86 habitantes censados en 2020) perteneciente y que conforma junto a otros el municipio de Buenavista del Norte, en la isla de Tenerife (Islas Canarias, España).
Se encuentra situado en la punta noroeste de la isla en el macizo de Teno, dentro del parque rural del mismo nombre, a diecisiete kilómetros del casco urbano de Buenavista del Norte y a una altitud media de 680 msnm. Masca se encontra entre profundos barrancos y acantilados que terminan en el océano Atlántico y solo cuenta con una carretera muy curvada y de complicada circulacion...eso sí, circulando por ella, además de dar repelús, las vistas son absolutamente espectaculares....Masca y sus profundos barrancos, popularmente se le conoce por el "Machu Pichu canario" :) Este lugar poe su muy dificil acceso y aislamiento, tiene la reputación de haber sido en la antiguedad un escondite de los piratas...Lugar desde donde se aprovisionaban principalmente de alimentos y agua, Haciendo intercambio con herramientas, útiles u otros articulos para las necesidades de los pocos habitantes del lugar
Masca destaca también por su arquitectura tradicional, pese a que la mayoría de sus construcciones no tienen una gran antigüedad. El caserío de Masca conserva la mejor muestra de arquitectura rural de toda Canarias.

Masca is a small population nucleus (86 inhabitants registered in 2020) that belongs to, along with others, forms the municipality of Buenavista del Norte, on the island of Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain). It is located in the northwestern tip of the island in the Teno massif, within the rural park of the same name, seventeen kilometers from the urban area of Buenavista del Norte and at an average altitude of 680 meters above sea level. Masca is located between deep ravines and cliffs that end in the Atlantic Ocean and it only counts with a very curved road and complicated traffic ... yes, circulating along it, in addition to giving shivers, the views are absolutely spectacular .... Masca and its deep ravines, popularly also is known by the "Canarian Machu Pichu" :) This place due to its very difficult access and isolation, has the reputation of having been in ancient times a hiding place for pirates ... Place from where they supplied mainly food and water, making inter change with tools, utensils or other articles for the needs of the few inhabitants of the place Masca also stands out for its traditional architecture, despite the fact that most of its buildings are not very old. The Masca farmhouse preserves the best example of rural architecture in the entire Canary Islands.
