My farthest galaxy as of 7/16/07: z=0.596

It almost looks like there's a structure, or even two merging galaxies, doesn't it?

 

My most distant galaxy so far -- z=0.596. The map of the universe suggests that this is more than 2 billion parsecs away -- maybe 7 billion light years, halfway to the Big Bang. This project re-defines "awesome".
