The amount of control given to a user should be relative to their proficiency and experience with the object being given control over. Multiple operating systems give users differing amounts of control over settings and options. IOS 7 for iphones gives a fair amount of freedom in changing settings on a device; however, a jailbroken iphone with an unofficial OS is capable of altering many different settings.
