Weekly Log #13

My family and I were visiting some family friends and they had lovely Christmas decorations and so I decided to take some pictures, and this tree captured my eye. I took this photo with the manual setting, a shutter speed of 1/6, an aperture of f/9.0 and an ISO of 500. I chose these settings because they were the ones that best suited the lighting that I had, as other settings may have made the photo to bright or too dark for my liking. Although, if I could take this photo again I would worked even more with other settings to see the results. For composition, I thought it would look neat for me to have those houses off to the side, sort of framing the tree. I also blurred the houses so that the tree has more of the focus. For post processing I used ribbet.com where I used a faded "Fireside" effect as well the effect "Cairo". Overall I am happy with this picture and the way that it turned out.
