63. butterfly bush "Buddleia"

For my "One Of A Kind" flower images project.

This a new version of a butterfly bush. I love this flower :-)

 

Name meaning:

The genus was named in honor of Adam Buddle (1662–1715), a botanist from England who was responsible for introducing it into England.

 

The common name “Butterfly Bush” was given because the flowers are very attractive to butterflies.

 

Buddleia symbolism:

Buddleia represents rebirth, resurrection, and a new beginning.
