Watching You (Explored)

I had just setup to take photos of this Wapiti Pack wolf when I took this frame. It and a grizzly bear were actively feeding on a carcass that was 125 yards off of the road. I was the first person to see the animals and stop. The initial reaction of the wolf was to move towards cover and check me out.

As people took notice of the big lens, they began to stop in droves. Eventually some less than aware person slammed a trunk lid that sounded like a gunshot, and the animals were startled. That was when we realized that there were 3 wolves, 3 coyotes, and the bear all at the carcass. The other animals were out of view behind a rise, but spooked at the loud sound. The bear and this wolf immediately returned to the carcass, and remained for quite a while. The coyotes eventually returned too, trying to get the larger animals off of the carcass so as to feed.
