Misty rainforest - Western Ecuador

The Pacific Ocean brings a lot of moisture to the lowland Chocó forests of Ecuador, resulting in heavy rainfalls and amost constant mist.

 

This pic was taken at an altitude of roughly 500m and the climate was much cooler than you would expect.
