Upgrading my Epiphone Les Paul Special II

I re-discovered a cheap Epiphone Les Paul Special II in my spare room. I haven't touched it in years, and it was certainly worse for wear. The electrics were dodgy, the nut broken and the machine heads were falling apart. So I decided that it would be fun to do it up.
