Horseshoe Bend, Page, Arizona.

We got to Horseshoe Bend an hour before sunset and the main photo spot was already full of tripods, we had to scout around and find a decent place to get this shot, in hindsight I'm glad we didn't shoot at the typical spot, I try and add some variation to typical scenic points so this was a great exercise.

 

 

The outer leg on my tripod was no more than six inches away from a 1000ft drop straight down and I'm not too good with heights, so thank goodness for live view and a remote shutter ;)

 

 

I'm not sure why but it appears flickr has applied some kind of sharpening to my image.
