Pika!
Pikas' squeaks are quite piercing; we heard them all day at Devil's Thumb Lake. But because they live in the boulder fields (and they're the same color as the rocks), they're hard to see and even harder to photograph. I had to do some stealthy scrambling over the rocks -- and nearly got my ankle smashed when a rock slipped -- in order to get this one!
