A Sidewalk Tiger beetle, Cicindelidia punctulata. (My thanks to an expert on FB for the ID.) Fortunately for humans, this monster is barely half an inch long. I am so excited to have pulled off this shot -- besides being tiny, tiger beetles are very quick, very wary, and rarely stop moving.
