I took an IR shot of me standing near a tree.
Camera info:
There was an Opteka R-72 IR filter on a Canon XTi, using Canon’s f/1.4 50mm lens, on manual focus setting. Autofocus needs to be off.
This image was a 5 second exposure, the widest aperture, set at f/1.4, and ISO at 1600, the highest ISO setting that the XTi can do. I prefer capturing IR shots in color versus black/white mode or sepia because I prefer to remove the color using photoshop, rather than relying on the camera’s automatic color removal. I mess with photoshop’s vibrance and saturation settings, along with other settings, to selectively and moderately desaturate the color.
