ÖBB 1142.698 Kimpling (10249n)
Auch im Jahr 2025 ließen sich noch Loks der Baureihe 1142 im Plandienst der ÖBB beobachten. Zum Aufnahmezeitpunkt war der einsatzfähige Bestand jedoch schon auf vier einsatzfähige Maschinen zusammen geschrumpft. Vor Regionalzügen zwischen Linz und Passau ließen sich die klassischen Universalloks noch regelmäßig beobachten. Allerdings gehörte hier auch schon ein Quäntchen Glück dazu. Das hatte ich am 01. Mai 2025, als die gut gepflegte 1142.698 den R 5919 nach Linz HBF beförderte und von mir kurz nach dem Halt in Kimpling fotografiert werden konnte.
In 2025, class 1142 locomotives could still be seen in regular service with ÖBB. At the time of taking this picture, however, the operational fleet had already shrunk to just four locomotives. The classic universal locomotives could still be seen regularly pulling regional trains between Linz and Passau. However, you needed a bit of luck to see them. I was lucky on 1 May 2025, when the well-maintained 1142.698 was pulling the R 5919 to Linz Central Station and I was able to photograph it shortly after it stopped in Kimpling.
