Auch schon ziemlich zugewachsen präsentierte sich das abendliche Motiv an der Außenkurve bei Escheldorf am 05. September 2024. Jedoch entschädigten warmes Abendlicht und die gut gepflegte 218 414 vor dem RE 4867 von Hof nach München HBF. Der als Tagesabschluß geplante Güterzug aus Cheb kam dann allerdings nicht mehr rechtzeitig vor Sonnenuntergang.
The evening motive at the outer curve near Escheldorf on 5 September 2024 was pretty overgrown, but warm evening light and the well-maintained 218 414 in front of the RE 4867 from Hof to Munich main station made up for it. However, the goods train from Cheb planned for the end of the day did not arrive in time before sunset.
