Turnuszug der Neuzeit. Während der Wintersaison verkehrt an Samstagen ein ICE 1201 von Hannover HBF nach St. Anton am Arlberg. Bezeichnet wird dieser als Ski-Express Tirol. Während man früher im ältesten Wagenmaterial durch die Nacht hindurch zum jeweiligen Wintersportort gebracht wurde, steigt man nun ganz kommod morgens in Norddeutschland in den Zug und ist spätestens am frühen Nachmittag im Schigebiet. Aus Fotografen-Sicht ist das natürlich nicht mehr so reizvoll, da sind bunte Wagengarnituren mit exotischen Lokbespannungen natürlich spannender. Am 04. März 2023 konnte ich den 411 004 auf besagter Fahrt bei Lorenzenberg in Oberbayern aufnehmen.
Ski train of the modern era. During the winter season, an ICE 1201 runs from Hannover main station to St. Anton am Arlberg on Saturdays. This is called the Ski-Express Tirol. Whereas in the past the oldest carriages took passengers through the night to the respective winter sports resort, now they board the train quite comfortably in the morning in northern Germany and are at the ski resort by early afternoon at the latest. From a photographer's point of view, this is of course no longer as appealing, as colourful car sets with exotic locomotives are of course more exciting. On 04 March 2023, I was able to take a picture of the 411 004 on this journey near Lorenzenberg in Upper Bavaria.
