Auch in 2022 wurde mit dem ALPEN-SYLT Nachtexpress eine private Nachtzug-Verbindung vom Voralpenland zur Nordseeinsel angeboten. Dies leider nur einige Wochen lang, dann zog der Anbieter BahnTouristikExpress notgedrungen die Reißleine, da sich das Angebot aufgrund nicht fertig gewordenem Wagenmaterials und explodierender Rohstoffpreise nicht mehr rechnete. Zum Einsatz kam vor diesem Zug zumeist die hauseigene 110 491. Somit konnte nach langer Zeit mal wieder eine "Bügelfalte" im bayerischen Raum beobachtet werden. Der Zug lief meist pünktlich, am 22. Mai 2022 jedoch war der NEX 1312 von Westerland nach Salzburg gleich um mehrere Stunden verspätet. Daher nutzte ich die Gunst der Stunde, den bunten Nachtzug zur Mittagszeit im Waldstück zwischen Grafing und Aßling zu fotografieren.
In 2022, the ALPEN-SYLT night express offered a private night train connection from the foothills of the Alps to the North Sea island. So I took advantage of the opportunity to photograph the colourful night train at lunchtime in the woods between Grafing and Assling.
