EGP 193 848 Hermannspiegel (1487n)
Die 193 848 der EGP pendelt zumeist tagein tagaus auf der Nord-Süd-Strecke mit Neuwagentransporten quer durch die Bundesrepublik. Diesen intensiven Einsatz sieht man ihr inzwischen auch an. Am 06. Oktober 2018 fuhr mir die Lok mit dem GA 48929 von Bremerhaven Kaiserhafen nach Kalsdorf vor die Linse. Diesmal im Haunetal bei Hermannspiegel, nachdem ich sie ein paar Tage zuvor im Maintal dokumentieren konnte. Die Eisenbahngesellschaft Potsdam bespannt diesen Zug im Auftrag von DB Cargo bis Passau. In Graz werden die Waggons dann mit fabrikneuen Fahrzeugen der Marken BMW und Mini beladen. Nächstes Ziel ist wieder der Nordseehafen, dort werden die Autos für den Export nach Übersee verschifft.
EGP's 193 848 commutes every day in front of freight trains transporting new cars from one end of Germany to the other. In the meantime you can see traces of this hard operation on the outward appearance of this engine. On October 06th 2018 I took this picture of the blue Vectron in front of freight train GA 48929 from Bremerhaven Kaiserhafen to Karlsdorf in Austria. It will bring the train to Passau, there a ÖBB locomotive will take over. At the final destination the wagons will be loaded with brand new BMWs and Minis. The train goes back to the port in Northern Germany where the cars are shipped to their purchasers living oversea. The picture was taken at the well known photo-spot at Hermannspiegel on the track between Bebra and Fulda.
