This photo was taken in Pucón, Chile, on our program's trip. Here we are learning about the native Mapuche people. They taught us about the native struggle to keep their land out of the hands of Spanish conquerers, and the continued fight to keep their land as property of the Mapuche. In this field, they taught us about Mapuche field hockey, which is a game that the Mapuche people play when there are conflicts, and is all about respect and fairness.
