I turned a Barbie bed that came with a canopy into a day bed. It had an ugly purple plastic mattress that I sprayed off white to match the frame and it came with a duvet and pillow in ugly clashing colours so I made some scatter cushions and a throw from scraps that compliment each other with out being too matchy.
