Salkantay Mountain

Salkantay Mountain (Montaña Salkantay in Spanish) is a prominent elevation located in the Andes of Peru, which is part of the mountain range known as the Cordillera de Vilcabamba. With an altitude of approximately 6,271 meters above sea level, Salkantay is the highest mountain in the Cusco region and one of the most impressive in all of Peru.
