Essential Element

I fool around with graphics software so much...never leaving any image the way I found it...I find myself wondering sometimes..

"SHould I really call myself a photographer? Maybe I should just be saying, "I'm into photo-graphics."

 

And then Mabel lays down in the sunlight coming through the patio door on a sleepy SUnday afternoon, and I just point the camera at her and push the button and I don't wonder anymore..The answer to the Question

"Can I still just take a good photo?"

..is, "YES - as long as Mabel lives here"

This photo has not a single thing done to it..no change in contrast, no fake light and shadows, not even cropped..NOTHING!!!! It's so obvious in the face of this that the Essential Element is Mabel!

Oh, and I can't let this opportunity go by without bragging on her..how she's grown up and found a new more mature position in the pack in the wake of Sam and Shelby passing.

I'M SO PROUD OF HER!!!!!
