T95 / T28 Super Heavy Tank
This 95 ton assault weapon was designed to smash thru the German Seiigfreid Line, and later was planned for the mainland invasion of Japan. Mostly designed to fight it out with concrete fortifications it was built to withstand frontal hits from any known gun of the 1940s. The 12” of frontal armor and heavy 105mm gun could have easily gone blow for blow with the German Maus or Jagdtiger super heavy tanks of the time. To put the armor in perspective it is the same thickness as many battleships. The armor came at the cost of a top speed of 8mph. It never reached the European theatre before the end of the war, and this is the only remaining tank of two completed examples of this collosul piece of WW2 design,
