Simple Joy: Their Top Gun Walk

One of my simple joys is to spend time with my sister and brother-in-law. Every summer we all get together for a week so that my hubby and his sister can celebrate their birthdays. Their birthdays happen to be 2 days apart. We call it the Birthday Week.

 

This year they all chose to go skydiving. Now this isn't a simple joy of mine because 5 pieces of my heart were going up to an ungodly height and falling out of a plane with only some fabric to keep them from death. Yes, I am being a bit dramatic but that is what was going through my mind as I watched their plane circle up to a point where I couldn't see it.

 

In the end, they all came down safely, conquered fears marked off something on their bucket list and found pure joy of seeing the beautiful part of the country we live in.

 

We call this their Top Gun Walk.

 

Three of them deal with motion sickness. They all did well but two of them came out of their Top Gun Walk looking white as a sheet and ended up in bed the rest of the evening. The other puked in the car. It was all fun and games until the puking began. 😊
