1980 Chevrolet Citation
Not far from death. I was photographing the vin (hard, because of darkness underneath the ample vegetation) when the door to the ramshackle house opened up and the owner (equally dishevelled) came out. I thought: "oh no, I'm going to get shot for upsetting this guy". That can very well happen in certain parts of Long Island. He ended up being mostly confused but happy that someone liked a Citation enough to photograph it.
The vin didn't tell me much of anything - 2.5 litre 2bbl Pontiac four, assembled in Tarrytown, NY.
