Farmobil at Lime Rock
A 1965 Farmobil with owner Willy Wiley at the wheel, cruising past a bunch of its BMW cousins. Developed by Germany's Fahr company the Farmobil was built by Peter Kondorgouris' Farco company in Thessaloniki (Greece); this had been purchased by Chrysler by the time this car was built. The Farmobil was sold as a BMW in Germany and a few other countries, as a Steyr in Austria and Switzerland, and as a Chrysler product (through Simca in France) after the Farco takeover. Only about 1000 of these little agricultural vehicles were built between 1962 and 1966.
