1960 Bentley S2 Shooting Brake by Wendler
A 1960 Bentley S2 LWB with a one-off, Mercedes-based, Shooting Brake body by Wendler of Reutlingen. Chassis LLBA9. Seen at the 2014 Lime Rock Concours d'Élegance. This wacky thing was special ordered for an anonymous yachting fan through a New York City middleman, and was originally ordered in grayish blue metallic with reddish orange leather interior. Many body parts are from the contemporary Mercedes-Benz 300SE fintail. A heavy car, in part due to the reinforcements necessary to the 300's monocoque bodywork. Fantastic, although not exactly pretty.
